David and Becky had also just celebrated their wedding anniversary the weekend before.

Recently, some family came all the way to Gilroy so they could meet me after work to have lunch and celebrate my Aunt Becky's birthday. She is one of the sweetest ladies I know and I am very lucky to have her as an aunt.

For her birthday they were dying to go shopping at the Gilroy Outlets.  Specifically, the Coach store.  The girls in my family have a fascination with that place! 

They were extremely excited to find that since they went mid-morning on a Monday the store was virtually empty.  Those of you who shop there know that usually the place is more crowded than a band of geese fighting over a single bread crumb.  The line is usually double digits.  Since they had the place to themselves they were in heaven. I missed that part...I was still in the middle of teaching the "oa" sound to 1st graders around that time.  Mike wasn't able to get the afternoon off that day so sadly he missed out altogether. :-(

Eventually, we met up at Mama Mia's Italian Ristorante in Gilroy for a really super lunch.  None of us had ever been there before, and it was grubbin'.  The waiter gave us 2 servings of bruchetta for free since it was our first time.  It was delicious.
